Hello everyone! I was actually in the middle of writing up my 10-day itinerary for Hong Kong but realized I may need more time with it. So, I wanted to share my favourite products around ~$50 from last month!
I’ve been really trying out a lot of the Korean skincare products since I was hearing great things about them. Also I do like the overall texture and benefits of the products.
I try to use clean beauty products as best as I can and I’ve also tried out many different skincare and makeup products. I’m all about easy application, light-weight products, and skin benefits. Also I’m a big fan of beautiful packaging haha!
Skincare Favourites

1. Birch Moisturizing Sun Cream – Round Lab
If you haven’t already heard, this is a super trendy sunscreen from Korea! It first caught my attention not just with the cute packaging but also the moisturizing benefits together with sunscreen. I try to use sunscreen as much as I can (even indoors) so having a double benefit of also being a moisturizer is definitely a yes from me! The price is a bit high but I liked how smooth the cream was to easily put over my face (without being sticky).
2. Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence – COSRX
I didn’t have an essence in my skincare routine and I was hearing great things about this too! It’s also quite affordable (I love COSRX!) and light-weight. You can see a natural glow after putting this product on. The main ingredient is a nutritious, filtered snail mucin to moisturize and illuminate your skin for the day. Use it for glowing skin, moisturization, and anti-aging!
TIP: I heard this is great to pair with the AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum! I used both and love both products for the smooth texture and how it is easily absorbed into the skin.
I’ll cover the MISSHA under beauty favourites!

Makeup Favourites
1. The Liquid Silk Canvas (Featherweight Protective Primer) – Tatcha
I LOVE Tatcha! The branding is on-point and the packaging is beautiful, not to mention my favourite colour is purple so I’m sold. It’s on the pricier side so I buy the products only once in a while. This primer, which helps your makeup stay on longer, is very light-weight and easy to apply. It also smells good!
2. Magic Cushion Foundation – MISSHA
This foundation cream is easy to apply (with the sponge) and also compact with a mirror. I’ve been really enjoying these products instead of having to use a big makeup sponge and foundation separately. Of course, my favourite part is that it comes with SPF too which I really like (so I don’t have to apply sunscreen separately and it covers up pretty well too). I like the scent of this as well! The colour was a bit too light for me though so I would want to go with a darker colour next time.
3. CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte Full Coverage Foundation – IT Cosmetics
When I do use a foundation separate from the makeup sponge though, I like to use the ones from IT Cosmetics. I tried it when it was trendy back in the days and I’ve stuck with it since. I also like the anti-aging effects along with the SPF it has. This one in particular has a matte finish so it doesn’t look too flashy. I generally use the Medium colour but I might try a shade lighter!
If you’re looking for a cheek and lip combination in a product, this is a good one! I like the compact design that I can easily take out and apply. It’s also very easy to apply (no need for brush!). I used the Dash (light pink shimmer) colour and really liked it.
5. Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara – Maybelline
When I got a lash lift, I was recommended to use this! I must say I really like it and have been using it many times. It makes my lashes look dark and long and doesn’t build up thick mascara all over my lashes like other ones I’ve used. This is super light and easy to apply. Use this with an eyelash primer and your lashes will look much longer and thicker!
I hope you enjoy the list here and stay tuned for more of these posts!
